The Medication Access Program (MAP) was developed for solid organ transplant recipients who reside in the State of Georgia. This program is made possible through the generous support of the Carlos and Marguerite Mason Trust Fund.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Medication Access Program (MAP) is to increase access to prescription medications for solid organ transplant patients who reside in the State of Georgia.

Objectives:

• to increase the statewide accessibility of prescription medications to individuals who have received a kidney, liver, heart, lung, pancreas, and/or intestine transplant
• to promote awareness of medication assistance programs to Georgia’s transplant patients and health care professionals
• to increase medication compliance (adherence) of patients

To accomplish the goal of increasing patient accessibility, MAP:

• educates patients and health care professionals regarding the availability of medication assistance programs
• assists patients and health care professionals enroll patients in medications assistance programs
• assists patients and health care professionals in completing the necessary applications for specific medication assistance programs
• increases the statewide accessibility of prescription medications to individuals who have received a kidney, liver, heart, lung, pancreas, and/or intestine transplant
